Maryam Iqbal is an enthusiastic volunteer engagement professional, with over 16 years of experience in strategically planning, designing, coaching, and leading volunteer-driven programs. Maryam has engaged volunteers in service delivery, leadership, episodic, corporate, and administrative roles while providing structure and building capacity in order to grow and sustain volunteer resources needed to do the work efficiently and impactfully. Some highlights of Maryam's experience include implementing volunteer engagement software, developing and facilitating training on topics related to volunteer engagement, designing systems to make volunteer screening and onboarding processes effective and efficient, writing policies, and coaching colleagues on best practices in volunteer engagement. Maryam has worked at various non-profit organizations, notably March of Dimes Canada and Pathways to Education Canada. Maryam holds the CVA designation (Certified Volunteer Administration) and is currently an online instructor for two college courses at Fleming College in Ontario, Canada: Volunteer Management Foundations and Volunteer Management Administration.
