Beth Aker, Director of Meals on Wheels of Pasco County, understands firsthand the vital role that collaboration plays during times of crisis. Her longstanding partnerships with resource and service providers have proven essential in delivering swift and effective responses to emergencies affecting the region’s most vulnerable residents.
Aker’s leadership has been a stabilizing force through four hurricanes—two resulting in power outages lasting more than a week—and the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under her guidance, Meals on Wheels of Pasco never closed its doors and retained nearly its entire volunteer base, losing only one volunteer during this time.
In addition to her operational role, Aker serves on several local and regional boards dedicated to senior care, nutrition, and community leadership. Her proactive approach to emergency preparedness and her commitment to continuity of care have made her a trusted advocate and voice for seniors across Pasco County.
