Bess Winston coaches executives at global and national corporations and organizations, preparing them for media interviews, keynote speeches, legislative testimony, and town hall meetings. Her approach focuses on how to control interviews and manage Q&A while also delivering messages that speak to the agendas of organizations. In 2013, Bess founded the award-winning communications and advocacy firm, the Winston Agency, which was acquired by the global social impact agency FINN Partners in 2022. Previously, she held executive leadership positions at Ogilvy PR, Golin, Powell Tate, and Reingold. Earlier in her career, she was a senior adviser to U.S. Representative Bobby L. Rush, holding successive roles as Press Secretary, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Acting Chief of Staff. She is a graduate of Tufts University and holds an MA from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
